Designed to Draw Near

Introduction

Hello and welcome to Designed to Draw Near. My name is Holly Craw, and I want to invite you to join me on my discovery journey of relationship with God, others and ourselves. I have walked nearly half a century with Jesus,
and continue to be amazed at how much more there is to learn about living in this world while following the invitations of our Heavenly Father to draw near to Him.
It is quite an endeavor to keep our eyes focused on our
real home while navigating all the daily trials and joys of living as earthlings.

Over this past year, I have been impressed with the many ways in which Scriptures invite us to draw near to God and to other people. In fact, God designed us to be in deep fellowship in these ways, but sometimes our experiences cause us to put up walls which shut God and others out. Part of my story is learning about the barriers I have in my soul and seeking ways to bring those down as I learn greater trust in the Lord. I believe that in doing so, I, and any others who take this path, will find our true purpose and fulfillment in life, and we will be open to experiencing things we can’t imagine which reveal God’s glory.

This blog will include things I am learning from Scripture, my struggles from my story and daily living, and perhaps some creative writing as I apply Truths to my life. I love feedback from my readers about how these posts impact you and ways that you try to fit together the Scriptures and the craziness of living in this world. Your stories are important for the rest of us, and it will be a treat to include some of the insights you have gained as well. Will you join me as we learn together how we are Designed to Draw Near?

Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
